Chris Forrest
Chris Forrest is the owner and lead consultant at Forrest Governance, offering training, consultancy and support to local authorities, multi academy trusts (MATs) and individual schools across the country.
Chris is a qualified accountant, project manager and leadership coach. He has previously worked at a senior level across the NHS and public sector, including roles as a management accountant, senior organisational development manager, and as Head of Workforce for an NHS trust.
Chris has been a governor at a maintained school for 11 years and chair for six years. He has been co-opted to the boards of maintained schools who were sponsored conversions to academy status, has sat on academy committees within a MAT and is Chair of trustees at a primary MAT.

He does this by simplifying, demystifying and clarifying their governor role and showing how they can make a positive difference to children’s education.
What our clients are saying about Chris…
“Chris Forrest – the trainer is very engaging and knowledgeable, he has a wonderful way of opening up the group to discussions but still remaining on task.
I really liked the surveys and love the fact that we get the slides afterwards – the jargon buster slide will be extremely useful.”
Governor in Cheshire East
“This has been a really helpful session in explaining the role of governance to someone who is a new governor and I’m looking forward to building on this at the next session. I also think that it was good to have the informal ‘ways of working’ for the session at the beginning of the session which created a relaxed and friendly environment from the outset.”
