Grenville is a highly experienced and effective non-executive director and strategic leader with a wealth and diverse range of experience from across the public (local government, health, central government), social enterprise/charity, housing, and education sectors working across disciplines and with services, stakeholders and external partners. Grenville has a professional background in finance and governance and have 50 years of accumulated non-executive/trustee experience including 20 years chairing Finance and Audit Committees and 10 years in CCGs along with chairing boards in his vice chair roles. Throughout his senior career he has made a significant contribution to influencing the wider strategic, business/services and people agendas and in response to changing external factors and government policy. Grenville has been a constant voice for whole system thinking and collaboration to improve outcomes for the people we serve. He has a track record of steering significant improvements in organisational and financial governance, financial efficiency, planning and control. In recent years in his current board roles Grenville has been appointed Well-Being Guardian at Manchester CCG and has taken a leading role on EDI at Great Places Housing Group. He has held Finance Director positions in health, social enterprise and local authority owned care organisations. Grenville has extensive knowledge and understanding of the health, primary care, social enterprise, social care and housing agendas, their regulatory and operating environments, risks and opportunities for innovation supported by extensive networks across the North West.
