Rob Pullen

Rob has over thirty years of teaching experience in a range of primary schools across England and Wales. Twenty-four of these have been at a senior leader level with responsibilities for the monitoring of standards of teaching and learning and thirteen as headteacher of two schools with Resourced Provisions. Each of these catered for children with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties including Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Global Development Delay and Social, Emotional and Mental Health diagnoses. All children were in receipt of EHCPs (statements in Wales). Teaching and learning in these provisions was structured around a modified specialist curriculum focused on the individual development needs identified in these EHCPs. Learning opportunities were designed to ensure the young people had the very best chances to experience life, grow in confidence and become the best they can be. Inspection outcomes consistently rated the Teaching and Learning in the provisions as Good or Outstanding.

No longer a serving headteacher Rob has co-chaired the Primary Headteachers’ Association in Cheshire West and Chester since September 2019, working with both school and local authority partners including the SEN Team, primary special schools and all primary schools with Resource Provisions. Within this position sitting on SENCO forums and working closely with the SEN Team to support developmental work streams, following the outcomes of the Local Authority Special Needs Review, is an integral part of the role. Rob also sits on the Board of Governors as the nominated Safeguarding Governor at Dee Banks Special School in Chester.

What our clients are saying about Rob…

“Big thank you to Rob, thought he was great at facilitating the session. Really knowledgeable /supportive and great content. Would highly recommend to all new governors like myself.”

Governor in Sefton

“The fact the sessions are on-line is a great benefit.  As a new governor with a busy work schedule and family life, I would have struggled to attend in-person.  The mix between presentation and interaction is good.”

Governor in Cheshire East

“Knowledgeable presenter, who was a clear communicator and very easy to listen to. Content was broken down into appropriate parts. Course clearly focussed on the Inspection process from the viewpoint of the Governors. The evening flew by!

The course gave very clear advice to Governors in preparation for Ofsted, and gave me a list of questions to find out the answers to! Would definitely do another course that Rob was leading.”
